Brendan`s birthstory

Well let`s see... I went to the hospital at 8pm to be given cervadil? to ripen my cervix.
Well after being stuck 5 times for an IV I was told I was dehydrated they finally got it in and started fluids. About 12am they came in and checked me and said I was 3-4cm. yay
I didnt need the cervadil I went in labor by myself, my lil man decided he was coming anyway. At 8:30 am my doc came in and broke my water. I was then told there was meconium int he fluid so I was given very strict instructions about what do when baby`s head was out. So now on top of his heart rate I was worried about that. I also had to wear oxygen the whole time for the baby. Then at 9:15am they started pitocin. Around 10am my contractions started to get stronger. I was doing so well untill about 2pm. I wanted to go w/ no pain meds but my contractions were a min apart from 1-2 I took that for bout an hour but the pitocin was very mean. So thank god for the epidural. Doc came in and said I was about ready to push but he was `sunny side up` to turn on my side and try to wait and see if he turns. Well it is so hard not to push at this point and time. So I layed there and finally she came in and let me start pushing. I had about 4 pediatricians in my room so they can check his heart out. I pushed for about 20 min. When his head was out they had to suction his stomach and everything to make sure he didnt swallow any of his poop. Well he didn`t swallow it I was happy. The doc`s listened to his heart it was still irregular. They ordered an EKG for him to have later that day. II didnt get to hold him for about an hour later they were doing all the stuff. Then Igot to hold him it was awesome. The EKG came back great! I was so excited for that.
