braeden`s birthstory

i started having contractions that were 5 min apt at 2 am on monday, jan 21. at 4 am the contractions were between 3 and 5 min apt, so we headed to the hospital. i was already 4 cm dilated when i got there, so they gave me some pain relief until i could get the epidural. they got the bloodwork done quickly, and i got my epidural soon after. after i got the epidural my contractions started slowing, and then stopped, so they broke my water and gave me pitocin. the baby didnt like the pitocin too much, so they had to give me oxygen for him and they stopped the pitocin for a bit. luckily i wasnt able to feel anything! finally i could feel the pressure and urge to push, so i tried to push, but i wasnt quite ready yet, so they waited another hour. baby was facing the wrong way, so they turned him around. that part hurt THE WORST! finally he was turned the right way, and it was time to push! after about 40 min of pushing, my baby boy was here!

braeden is almost 2 months old already! time has really flown by! he's such a wonderful baby. he smiles a lot now. he's laughed in his sleep a couple of times. it was the funniest laugh i've ever heard! ha ha. he's awake a lot during the day now, but he also takes LONG naps in between. he LOVES bath time! its so much fun b/c me and my hubby bathe him together. he's so relaxed in the warm water! he only wakes up once in the middle of the night now. then he'll wake up around 6:30 to eat and poop. then we take a nap together until around 10 am. he loves napping w/ mommy! he knows his schedule so well, he'll even get fussy if we're not napping together when we're supposed to! we also nap at around 3 until my hubby comes home from work, which is around 5:15. he's soo much fun. i can't help but want to spoil him rotten! whenever i go shopping i end up buying a bunch of stuff for him and not really anything for me! ha ha. he hardly cries at all, too. he usually only cries when he's hungry. that or if he's really uncomfortable. and he LOVES to stand up! when we're holding him he'll push himself up and he'll stand and get sooo happy! its so cute! my friend and i were watching "america's best dance crew" and braeden got sooo into it! he was standing up and dancing to the michael jackson episode. he loved it! it was sooo funny! i wish i recorded it! well he's waking up now so i'll update more later! :)

Braeden turned 2 months today! I can't believe how fast time flies! It's crazy! He's such a sweet baby! I'm just so in love with him! You never know how much you can possibly love someone until you have a child! I can't even imagine life without him. He's my little angel! <3 My husband and I feel so blessed to have such a gorgeous wonderful child! Here's a pic of him at 2 months:

Braeden will be 4 months old soon! I can't believe how fast time is flying by! Oh no, he'll be getting his shots at his appointment! Poor guy. :( Mother's Day is almost here! I'm so excited to spend my first real Mother's Day with him. Last year we were trying and weren't sure yet if we were pregnant, but my hubby was sweet and got me a gift anyway! Now I'm just glad to actually be able to spend time with Braeden! He's growing so fast! I can't wait to see him as he grows, see all his firsts, see him learning all these new things! But at the same time I'm like, whoa, slow down! Stay this way longer! Lol. Becoming a mom really changes your life. Not only do you have an angel to take care of, but your feelings about the world change. It's just such an incredible experience! I'm going to add some more recent pics of Braeden.
