My day started with a reg wkly Dr. appt and for the 3rd week I was still at 1cm, as my Dr. is checking me she then tells me that she is stripping my membrane. And ladies if any one tells you that it does not hurt they are lying!.. She then says oh this wont send you into labor this will just get the ball rolling, start some contraction and we will see where you are next week. I am thinking ok so I go on about my day getting ready for the 4thJuly weekend. Doing things at the house working in the back yard, the pool guy is getting the pool ready. So as I am working in the backyard my son turns to me and say mom are you having a hot flash(lol) no so but I am having a contraction. So I go in the house maybe I have done enough for today. About 10pm I need to take a shower and wash my hair because I have a 8am braid appt, in the shower my contractions are becoming a lil stronger. So I tell my self when I get out I will walk the halls to see if this is a false labor or not. Well its not I then call her dad and say I think she is coming tonite. So me and my daughter start to time them at 1030pm for 45mins. At this point I call the Dr. to update her she then says for me to make my way to the hospital and they were 3-5 mins when we left the house and the hospital is 15-20mins away. We get there around 12a and the nurse checks me and tells me that I am only at 1.5cm I could not believe that was IT?!?!?! Because of my prev fast dlvry they said they will keep me but could not admit me til I was 2cm. By 1230a I was already at 3cm (thank GOD). So she says she was going to give me Staydol and that did not do a thing but make me sleepy, take the edge off my butt! So she went to call the Dr. to see if I can have something stronger since she gave me the strongest dose she could. The Dr said I can have the Epidural which I was a lil leary about since I didnt have it with my other kids. But I did have it and that made it so much easier, at 130a my water broke and I was at 6cm, then 8cm and next thing I know the Dr. is there telling me to push Zorianna Arie was born at 234am 7lbs 8.5oz and 20in.
