Daisy-Mary`s birthstory
My induction started at 7am on Wed May 7th. At about 9:30am the doctor broke my water, at that time I was dilated to 4-5. At around 10am I was starting to get uncomfortable with the amount of pain, but still able to breath through everything, but decided to get my epidural since it can take a bit for the doctor to get up there for that. At 11am my epidural was place however, it was placed lower than normal because of the spacing in my back, the doctor said it was a better choice. Well that caused me to get no pain relief what so ever! at about 11:45 the nurses called the doctor back up because they said I should really be feeling no pain by now. So the Doctor gave me another bolus of medicine plus he uped the dose that was being dripped in, He said the first dose probably went straight to my legs. Well finally at 12:15pm my pain was gone. The epidural actually started to work to good, to the point I started to painic! I couldn`t even move my toes anymore. My legs were Jello!! So after panicing to the nurse who just wanted to get orders to turn the drip down, they finally agreed to just turn it off for a bit! Well I was checked again at about 2pm and the Resident said the baby was ready to come, her head was right there, but they thought I should wait to push for half an hour to see if my sensation in my legs would come back a bit because I didn`t know if i could even push. Well it didn`t matter anyways because that half hour passed and I still had no feeling, and now I had no doctor. The resident was in a c-section and the oncall doctor was not answering his pages. So I was left with a baby that was actually delivering her self, with each contraction. Finally at the last possible min the doctor was there to pretty much catch the baby. My little girl Daisy Mary was finally in my arms! And healthy as can be!
