Ruby-Jade-Cairns`s birthstory

Started with contractions on wednesday morning a 3 O`clock. The contractions were on and off all the way frew the labour duration. I finaly got to the hospital at 6:30 in the morning only to be told that I was only 1cm dilated. They were sending me home but a consultant saw me leveing the hospital and took the initiavie to keep me in and have some pain relive.

It took me 12 hours to get dilated from 1cm to 2. The baby was in a funny position (back to back) little did I know of this until now. The contractions just seemed to keep going on for ever, they were really iregular and the whole process seemed to be takeing along time.
The finaly gave me a sweep wich Fxxking hurt, I never screemed so hard in all my life.
They then did another sweep at 4cm but it didnt hurt so bad.
Aparently, they were thinking of giveing me c section but one of the midwifes said just give it that bit longer to see how she gets on.
I finaly got sent down to delvery even though the previouse midwive from ten minutes ago said it could 12 hours for me to get their.

Finaly I got some relive with pefadine and epidural. Then the difficult part was to come. The pushing. The epidural knocked out the pain so I couldnt feel when to push propelry and I had some arsey midwive tell me I was doing a good enough job even though I was giveing it my all. The pain relive wore off and I spent 3 hours pushing the baby out. It was extreamly painful as she was in such a difficult position and her head was faceing upwards. They used the forseps but nothing was happeing. Apparently the man put his foot on the table to help pull the baby out. The baby had her knees up so no matter how hard they pulled it just wasn`t happening. Finaly she came out and they placed her on me. I`ll never forget the tear drop on her face as she was crying. The man told me I did really well and worked hard and if I haden`t have then I would of needed a c section. Their were alot of widwives in the room at the end and I was so glad that the one woman came in and I don`t know how I would have got frew it without her. I hade to get cut and no suthering with painful stitches.

Now we have are little ruby jade and shes just perfect. She looks a`lot like me and has a tall slim frame. she has her mommys eyes, mouth and fingers. We love her lot`s.
