WOW!! My baby Braydon is here!!! I am so blessed and content... Lets see where do I start... I guess from the beginning. On February 23rd (Tuesday) we went in for my scheduled induction. We arrived at the hospital at 6:00 am and was started on pitocin at 7:00 am. The nurse checked me when I came in and said I was 2-3cm dialated and she thought I would go rather quickly! Well that couldnt have been further off! LOL The midwife came in shortly after and checked me and my cervix was very high and it was excrutiating getting checked. She said that I was actually only 1 1/2 cm dialated and that my cervix was not favorable for induction but that she was going to give it some time and see what happened. I continued on pitocin from 7 until 5:30pm. I was contracting every 2-3 minutes but I knew I was not progressing and that the contractions should have been much worse and much more frequent then they were. At 5:30 the midwife called my doctor in and asked that he do an ultrasound to make sure that the baby was head down... SUPRISE SUPRISE Baby Braydon was breached!!! So the immediately pulled the pitocin and sent me packing and asked that I come into the office the following day to schedule for a c-section. I was completely shocked and very emotional. Its hard when you think you are going into the hospital to have your precious lil one and then you walk out with your lil one still very comfy in your belly! :)

The following day I went into the office, and Braydon was still in breach position. My doctor sent me to the hospital to check for contractions and if I was having any I would be having my c-section immediately. Over the night I had come to terms with the fact that I was going to have a c-section and was completely prepared. So we got to the hospital and my doctor came in and saw me and felt around in my belly and said that Braydon was kind of floating in there and hadnt really settled into a position. He suprised me and said that he would like to try and flip him by external aversion. I completely trust my doctor he is just awesome!! So I said that if he thought that was best then lets do it!! Let me tell you ladies I was so so so scared that it was going to hurt but I knew it was worth a shot! He came back in to the room and did the aversion. It was uncomfortable. Not nearly as painful as I thought and Braydon flipped pretty easily and didnt have any effects from the procedure! :) My doctor then checked me and said my cervix was still really high and just not favorable at all for induction. He said he didnt want to be beating me and baby up with pitocin to get him to come out when he just wasnt ready. I completely agreed. At this point I was done trying to force anything and was ready to wait for my lil one.

So I was again sent home from the hospital! LOL I was home for a full day and just spent Thursday hanging out and doing lots of walking. I remember sitting in the bath that night talking to my belly and telling him he could come that night if he wanted to! LOL Well... he was sure trying! I woke up periodically through the night with some cramping and tightening and was wondering if that was the start of it, but just told myself to ignore it that it was probably nothing. I woke up at 7 am to get my son ready for school and was having contractions every 3-4 minutes. Me and hubby walked my son to the bus stop and then it was time for my follow up at the doctors office. My doctor checked me there and I was 3cm dialated and he sent me to the hospital!! YAY!!! By the time I got home to pick up my bags my contractions were getting really really strong.

I got to the hospital fairly quickly and was in alot of pain. They checked me and I was 4-5cm. I had to wait about 2 hours for them to get me admitted and hooked up to the IV before I could get my epidural. I got my epidural at 1:00 pm and I was 6cm dialated. I had about 4 contractions after I got the epidural when my water broke. I was still feeling alot of pressure from my contractions and only had a little bit of relief. Baby Braydon did pass meconium (sp?) while in my belly... Just like his sister! LOL! After my water broke the contractions were right on top of eachother and I was feeling a lot of pressure and the urge to push... The nurse checked me about 30minutes after my water broke, and it was time to push... By this point I was feeling the burning with the pressure. I was definitely not the quietest person and was telling the nurse I was scared and didnt want to do it anymore! LOL As if you have a choice right?? HAHA! They made me pant through the next few minutes until my midwife got there and then it was time to push! I pushed for about 10 minutes and then Baby Braydon Riley was born!!!!!! :) I have to say my nurses and my midwife and hubby were AWESOME!!! Braydon came much quicker then any of my other 2 children... he was good to his mommy and the contractions pushed him out alot of the way too.

I am so so very much in love with my lil boy!!! Its just amazing to me the love a mother has for her children.. Nothing in the world can ever compare to that! I am so greatful and truly blessed to have my children, my husband, and the most perfect lil baby boy! Life is awesome!!
