Had premature longs so she's been in the NICU...doing better each day. God has her in his hands
My water broke at 5:30am headed to the hospital around 6am. My contractions didn't start til 7am and they wern't very strong and irregular. I was around 3+cm dilated. After triage I went to the L&D floor room # 1926. They had to keep giving me more doasges of Pitocin to get my contractions going. I get my Epidural after I'm 4cm dilated 70% to 80% effaced. 9am goes by, 12pm goes by, seems like its taking forever. I'm relaxing, turn the tv on next thing I know feel pressure in my rectum, I tell the Nurse and she checks me. I'm 10cm dilated and ready to go! She calls my Dr and we wait for like 30 minutes for her to show. She gets there and gets things ready I put my legs up and on the first contraction she starts counting and I push, push again, and 3rd push Charity comes out! Beautiful baby girl. Hour in a half later after everything is cleaned up and takin care of, its just me and the family. We try to get Charity to latch on to me and she just wouldn't and when she tried she would turn blue. So that conserned my Dr so she called some people and they took Charity to check her over. I'm in the room by myself waiting for my Husband to come back because he had gotten a call from my mom saying that she wanted him to come up to the Nursery because there was RT people and Dr's checking Charity. My Husband finds out and comes into my room pissed and crying saying that Charity has to go to the NICU because is having a hard time breathing. At this point I'm blaming myself because I had takin a hot shower the night before and went walking the day before she was born. I was 36W4D when she was born. So an hour goes by til I go to my post room. I get settled, family goes home. My husband and I go see Charity and see whats going on. She has a Cpap on, needles in her head and her hand. A feeding tube down her throat. My little girl! She wouldn't even really eat anything for the first 24 hours. She just has premature lungs. now it's almost Wednesday and she is doing much better. Instead of just 1cc of food, she took 11cc. Nomore Cpap, 1 less needle in the head. Nomore needle in the hand, her respirtory is better. She's had stools and wet diapers. She digesting food! Has a little bit of jundice so they have her under lights. She's been trying to open her eyes (blue eyes). She's getting there thanks to all the prayers. We're hoping for early next week that she gets to come home, hopefully. My husband and I are just trying to get my son better here at home because he is sick, and I'm just trying to heal and get better and keep up my breast pumping and taking my colostrum/milk up to Charity. Busy, busy. God is giving us the strength we need to get through all of this. Everything happens for a reason. My baby shower is Saturday =) Please keep us in your prayers. God has blessed me with a wonderful Husband, Son and now a beautiful baby girl and I am so grateful and happy! A little emotional, but I'm hangin in there.
How many weeks do you think am I?...
