Mia-Alejandra-Diaz`s birthstory

i woke with pains on my due date (june 10th 2009) couldnt sleep, peeing every hour and contracting about every 20 minute to 30 minutes. went in for my check up that morning at 7am, and was dialated to 4cm 60% effaced. being already 40 weeks my doctor didnt want me to go past 41 weeks, so we schedueled the induction for the next day at 11am. went home and i was still contracting and losing my mucus plug. the contactions got closer and stronger but i was still baring it (about 12 mins. apart around 4pm) did some last minute things around the house (i even waxed) and they were now at 9 mins. it was 12:42am and my husband practically begged me to go to the hospital already (i wanted to wait till 11am for my induction) got to the hospital, admitted (now at 6 mins. apart) finally got a room at 3:30am and now they are 3-4 mins. apart.. as i filled out consents and the rest of the paper work they prepared my iv because i was dehydrated which led to it irritating my uterus making it contract uncontrolably every 1 to 3 minutes at still 4cm 70% effaced -2 station. well i then opted to get the epidural at 5am, they checked me and i was 7cm 90% effaced -1 station. at 5:30am they broke my water. i ate a cherry popsicle and then took a nap. woke up at around 8:30am felt some pressure asked the nurse to check me and i was ready to push. started pushing at 9:04am (3 sets of 3 pushes for 10 seconds each) and at 9:11am 7 minutes later... Mia Alejandra was in my arms!!!! i tore a bit and got a few running stitches, other than that everything went smooth and my epidural was great aswell.
