Birth story:

On 20th Dec at 8:30 PM I had my labour pains. I waited till 1:00 AM till the contrations were 5 mins apart and then left for the hospital. One of the doctors checked me and said that I was 1 cm dilated and said that I can stay in the hospital if I wanted to. At 3:30 AM my waters broke. They noticed that the fetal monitor showed a drip in the baby's heartbeat rate everytime i had a contraction and I was only 2 cm dilated. My doctor arrived and she said this could be happening as the chord was around the baby's neck (we had taken a scan on the 19th which said that there was a loop of chord around the baby's neck). So she said that we had to go in for a c-section as she did not want to take any risks. I consented to it as my baby's life was important than anything else. My baby girl Julia was born at 8:36 AM. I was in the recovery room and finally saw my baby at around 12:30. She is the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my life.
