Ethan-James`s birthstory

I had an appointment for a BPP Ultrasound and baby did not score well (not moving and could not wake him). My doctor sent me straight to the hospital to be induced. My labor was progressing slowly. I was dilated 1 1/2 cm when doc broke my water. That really sped up the labor process. I finally got to almost 5cm dilated and asked for an epidural. This is when all hell broke loose. I guess the medication from the epidural drastically slowed baby`s heartrate. It was around 10:45 or 11pm when my doc said she did not want to watch that all night because we did not know how long it would take to deliver the baby at that point so I was sent for an emergency c-section. I was kept in the hospital for 3 days and now we are both home and doing well. I just had the staples from my incision removed yesterday and the pain gets better every day. I am just thrilled that my son is healthy and doing well. The doc said that she saved my placenta and sent it for testing and everything was perfect so she is still not sure why that happened but nonetheless, we are both doing very well.
