Brooklynn-Mae`s birthstory

On Tuesday night I got home and asked my husband to help me clean up our bedroom and put up the baby`s bassinett. He did and then I got this wild idea to clean out the closet on top of everything. I kept having pains every now and again that were hurting but I just thought it was because I was doing too much. I got the bedroom and closet all cleaned out and my husband and I set up the crib and i just looked at it and then looked over at him and said `I cant wait to see what she looks like and to see her in the bassinett` and he said `me neither` :) At about 11 pm my husband and I went to bed and I kept noticing the contractions...they were anywhere from 4-10 minutes apart....so I didnt think they were `real` contractions. I called my mom and she said that I should come in. I told her that I thought I was fine and I would call her if we decided to. I tried going to sleep but the contractions were getting pretty intense. SO I decided that if I got up and moved around a little that they might go away....boy was I wrong. I packed my hospital bag and started a load of laundry then I thought I would try and go back to bed. I laid down in bed and was in so much pain from the contractions. By this time it is about 1245 am the contractions were about 4-5 minutes apart....I woke up my husband and told him that I thought we needed to go in (the hospital is 45 minute drive from our house) so he got up and we started getting the kids ready . My son just got in the van and went back to sleep but my fove year old daughter was kind of concerned on what was going on. I was helping her get buckeled and started having a conraction She said `whats wrong mommy?` and I said `your baby sister is coming today` and said said `one more day` becasue I was suppose to be being induced on the 12th and I told my daughter `no she is going to come today` and she siad `why are we leaving in the dark time?` and I told her that is when Brooklynn decided to come out. SO anyway we got all loaded up and headed into Casper....I was having contractions (that were so intense...I dont remember them being that intense with my daughter or son) anyway they were about 2-4 minutes apart. We got to the hospital and by this time I cant even walk through them they are hurting so bad. My mom and dad were already at the hospital. Justin and I went back in the room to get admitted. They told me that I was dialted to about a 4 and 100% effaced I couldnt believe that I was only a four...the contractions were so strong....she said that they were keeping me. By this time it is 200 am....they put me in my labor room and i told her i wanted the epidural......she said that she would call the doc and get the epidural coming....My sister, mother in law father in law and sister in law all got to the hospital and were helping me through the contractions. They gave me some medicine in my IV before getting the epidural...this didnt seem to help the pain any but it did make me extremley tired...almost loopy....I didnt like it. The nurse checked me again at 4 am and said that I was still dialted to a 4...I couldnt believe it is was so frustrating. I was in so much pain and I wasnt getting the meds I wanted and I wasnt making any progress.....about 420 or 430 ( I think) they chekced me again because I was having lots of pressure with the contractions. The doctor checked me and said that I was dialted to a 9. I couldnt believe it and I was so relieved. BUT i still hadnt had my epidural and now it was too late....but he did tell me I could have the interthcal...I said ok and that really helped out with the pain....I only had about 2 conractions after they gave me the meds and then it was time to push. I pused about 3-4 times and little miss Brooklynn was born!!!! Justin got to cut the cord and they put her up on my belly when she was born. She is absolutley beautiful. I love just staring at her. Justin and I think she looks like her brother. :) She was our smallest baby!! The youngest and the tiniest! Thank you to all of you ladies for the last nine months....it has been an amazing journey and I am so glad that you were all there for me....especially Gabbagirl!!! I am going to miss our weekly coundown but we will have to keep in touch. LOVE YOU LADIES!!!! Congrats and Good Luck
