Kylie-Erin-Kathryn`s birthstory

My waters broke around 2 p.m., but I just felt some trickling, so I wasn`t 100% sure. After waiting for about an hour, I decided to call the hospital. They told me that I should come in to be checked out, so I called my husband and told him he needed to come home. We arrived at the hospital at around 4 p.m. and by 4:30 we had found out the my membranes had ruptured. I still wasn`t having any contractions, so they asked if we wanted to be induced, or if we wanted to wait to see if things progressed on their own. We decided to get induced. The contractions started to get stronger by 7:30 p.m. and I asked for an epidural at 8 p.m. They were in the process of setting up to give me the epidural when I got the urge to have a bowel movement (sorry tmi) The nurse quickly checked me and said that I was fully dilated and that I wouldn`t be getting an epidural. I was very upset when I found out that I wouldn`t be getting the pain relief, but my husband and mother helped me pull myself together. It only took me 20 minutes to go from 3-4cm to 10cm! I pushed for a grand total of 4 minutes before my healthy baby girl was born.
