I went into the dr. on Thursday (saw my alternate dr. since my regular doctor was out of the office) and I was still not dialated, but NST still looked good. So doc told me to call the office first thing in the morning on Friday to schedule the induction (since my regular doctor had to ok it and schedule it.). My dr. wanted me to come in again. So my husband and I got ready and went into the office. Hubby stayed home from work cuz I had been having contractions all night on and off and I thought I may go into labor. Anyways, I was STILL not dialated, so doc asked me one more time if I wanted to be induced or have a c-section...induction!!! So he was walking out of the office to schedule theinduction for Sat morning and I said, how about we do it today? So, He came back and said be at the hospital at 4:30 tonight.

So for the rest of the day hubby and I ran errands and did last minute shopping to pass the time. We went in at 4:30 and they inserted the cervidil at 5:40. Contractions began about an hour later and continued throughtout the evening. Neither my husband nor I got much sleep that night. The next morning I was checked and was STILL not dialated!!! I couldn't believe it! So, the next thing on the agenda was to walk the halls. After quickly showering my husband and I took off for our walk. Just as he and I were discussing how many woman's water's have probably broken in these halls, my water broke! Lol! He couldn't believe it! A nurse happened to see me trying to run back to my room and pulled me into a storage closet and gave me like a depends (giant pad) and some lovely netted underwear and sent me back to my room to call my nurse. The nurse called the dr. and he still wanted to start me on the pitocin, so back into bed I went and they hooked me up. My parents and my sis came to visit with me for most of the day but as of 3pm I was still not dialating, so dad went home. My contractions were getting pretty strong and the water was still leaking and I was beginning to get pretty discouraged. The dr. finally came in about 6:45 and checked me one last time...still nothing!!! Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

At this point he said I could either hold off another 12 hours hoping to go into active labor or they would do the c-section, but considering I had already been induced for 24 hours AND my water had broken and I was still not dialting he advised the c-section, but left it up to me. After a good cry with my hubby, mom and sis I agreed to the c-section.

The nurses came in right away to prep me and in about 45 min I was walking into the operating room. It was so surreal and creepy. I didn't like the numb feeling at all, but i could deal with it, but it was the nausea and the cotton mouth and not being able to breathe that really sucked! I felt like I was going to pass out! And then they showed him to me...and my husband was basically in tears and so proud and got to hold him for the first time...and everyhting went so fast...until they had to leave and I was by myself. TG for the anesthesioligist who talked to me thru it all, otherwise I would have passed out. I kept telling myself, if I pass out, I won't get to see himn in the recovery room. So I made it thru and after about 30 min in recovery they sent my husband in with Lucas...finally!!! I was iching like crazy from the morphine and was pretty drugged up, but was so excited to see my little and my big man!
