Cyrus-Crocker-Carlan`s birthstory

I dropped off my daughter with her grandmother while I went in for a nomal weekly dr visit at 1:45. While there, on the monitor, they detected a `heart block.` His heart was irregular. They told me that normally, this corrects itself during delivery. With it being so close to my due date, the safe thing to do it to go ahead and induce. My dr. actually said that I would probably go into labor on my own later that night because my bag of waters were bluging and I was dialted 4cm. She told me to go straight to the hospital, do not go home....so much for having my bag packed and ready to go....and at HOME when I need it!
At the hospital they broke my water, I had two really horrible contractions while I was getting my epidural (I was in labor for hours with my daughter with no pain meds....and wanted the epidural asap this time!) This was about 3:45-4:00pm. Not long after the epidural I started pushing. We could see his head full of hair, and it seemed like it would be a quick delivery. I pushed for 21/2 hours, and he still hadn`t been delivered. They explained that with his size (a little large) and how he seemed `stuck` they didn`t want to use forceps or suction. My dr asked me if I wanted to try for a little longer before they did a c section. I said yes and pushed for another hour, to no avail. They believed that the soft part of his head was able to pass under my pubic bone, but the hard part wouldn`t come through.......so I was prepped for c section!
He was so stuck that he had to be pushed up from the bottom to become unlodged from my pubic bone. (he would have the bruise on his shoulder later to prove it!) but in the end he was perfectly healthy. He has a head FULL of beautiful dark hair and we are in love with him! I had him Tuesday night and we came home Friday around lunch!
