So ladies I went in for my induction on the 25th bc I was still having horrible diarrhea and getting weaker by the day so I asked the doctor on the 23rd for a sweep and he said ok and also that he would induce me on that Thursday bc he was on call. She was also measuring big so he didnt mind for that fact as well. SO I was very excited about that. SO I arrived at the hospital at 730 am for my induction but did not get my pitocin drip until 1030. He said that he would break my water in about 2-3 hrs after the drip. When I went to the hospital I was still 2 and a half cent. dilated and 80% effaced and -1. I got up to a 12 on the drip and just knew I made progress, Ha I had another thing coming, I was still the same when he came in at 230 to break my water. The whole time I was not in much pain at all, it just became a little uncomfy, so I got on my ball and got into different positions. Once he broke my water though, yea the pain started to kick in. I after maybe an hour asked for some pain relief. I got Nubain which pretty much takes the edge off and makes you a little drowsy. Yea that lasted about an hour, the nurse stated that after 3 or more doses it wont work pretty much. I waited 3 hrs before I asked for another dose, so she gave it to me and it did nothing, I was soo sad that I would be the one that only one dose would work. So pretty much from 330 till I delivered I had no pain relief. I was doing well for a little while, asked the nurse to check me bc the contractions were coming pretty hard, the whole time I practiced breathing and focusing and my hubby would rub my back bc I was having horrible back labor. So the nurse checked me around 430pm and I was 6 cm. I was soo happy. Not for long, LOL. The contractions got intense and I zoned out. I was in soo much pain it wasnt even funny. It got to the point where pushing was the only way I could get relief. I wasnt 10cm or anything but it worked. I asked her to check me again around 5 and I was 9cm. OMG I thought that I was going to die to get to 10. According to my mom and hubby I was very quiet and they couldnt tell that I was in horrible pain bc I wasnt making any noises. I found sitting on the side of the bed to help while gripping hubbies pants..lol. My contractions started going off the charts and they said thats how they knew I was going into 10cm. At 545 I told the nurse I had to push and she said go ahead and I did and ended up almost pushing the baby out..lol. She called the doctor in the room and I pushed for 16min and that baby came out. I can trully say the worst part was not pushing her out but him getting all of the afterbirth and blood clots out. I actually cried during that part. My baby girl is doing well. I am still in denial that this person came out of me and Im now a mommy. Its so surreal, Im sure it will hit me soon.
