Isaiah-Joseph`s birthstory

I was scheduled for c-section for Monday May 12th due to high blood pressure. The whole week prior to having my son I had every single sign, signs that most people ignore or wonder about, from having a burst of energy, to having flu like symptoms, to high blood pressure, to severe indegestion, to diaharrea....I had it all. My docs even said oh the flu is going around....My water broke at 1:50am Saturday May 10th. Got to the hospital about 3am and my contractions were 3-7 minutes apart, I was a little bit thinned and 1cm dialated. I did not progress after 17 hours of labor (and pitocin), i was not allowed to eat because I was at a high risk of c-section. I was in soooo much pain I thought I was going to die, they gave me an epidural and an hour later I was 50%effaced and 3cm dialated, then 4cm then almost 5cm. I was sooo tired from being up so early and not being able to eat, but I was in it for the long haul the baby had done so well all day but at hour 18 of labor his heart rate was showing distress, they tried different things to help and nothing did so we had to do a c-section. That went perfectly and he was born at 9:20pm. I was supposed to get a tubal (tubes tied) however the doc could not get to my tubes because there was too much scarring on my uterus from my c-section 13 yrs ago! So that`s it. He`s beautiful and perfect, we are home, doing well. I am so glad that I waited as long as possible to schedule my c-section, otherwise I would`ve never experienced water breaking, and labor.
