I was induced at 2pm on Friday, March 7th, 2008- because my BP was running high 3 appts. in a row. They started me on cervagel at 2pm, started pitocin at 4am, and at 9am I was in active labor, 4 cm, and ready for the epidural. After my epidural, my Dr. asked me to get some sleep- I should be ready to push around 3pm. Long story short.....at 9am the baby crowned and I was ready to deliver. I was woken up from my nap to check my dialation and there was the baby!! With no time to slow the epidural, I didn't feel anything while pushing. 5 pushes and Sabrina Paige entered the world! She's my little peanut at 5 lbs 15oz 19 inches. She now weighs (at 2 week appt.) 6 lbs 4 oz, 20.75 inches. She's getting bigger by the minute and it's a good thing because all of her newborn clothes are WAY TOO BIG!! I breastfed for the first two weeks before giving into exhaustion, extreme soreness, and a little bit of the blues. She's bottle feeding now and doing fabulous!
