Tanner`s birthstory

Well as some of you know I was being induced Monday morning. I woke up very early Monday morning w/ alittle blood w/ my mucus and started to have mild contractions which I didn`t time cause I was goining to be induced anyways. I checked in the hospital at 5:30 AM and got the IV running and settled in waiting for the Dr who was coming in at 7 AM Still was getting contractions and some were stronger than others. When the Dr came I told her about my contractions and she said lets see and I was 4-5 cm dilated! So I think if I wasn`t going to induced he still would of been born that day. I started being induced alittle after 7:30 AM. She started me off slowly and the nurse up it every 30 mins. The contractions started getting more intense and I knew that the time was getting closer. Water still didn`t break. I went to the bathroom at a certain point noticing I had the urge to push so I did while no one was looking. I kept pushing when I had to and just as I was going to call for the nurse to tell her I have to push cause I could feel his head down there and she walked in. As soon as I said I have to push my water broke! I kept on pushing by myself as she got the Dr. So I got on the bed and the Dr let me continue to push on my own! I wish you could of seen it, I was doing everything myself while they were getting their stuff on. All the Dr really did was catch him! I almost got away w/ no tearing or anything but Tanner`s hand came out w/ his head scratching me so I tore alittle bit. He was born sunny side up at 9:27AM, about 2 hrs after my induction! He weighed 7pds 8oz and is 20` tall. He has alittle jaundice. He is such a cutie! I can`t believe he`s here and I did all the work myself! W/ my others I had to hold my knees and have someone hold my feet and this time I just layed as comfortable as I could get and pushed him out. It is an experience I`ll never forget!

Gavin-Adam`s birthstory

I was suppose to be induced on the 5th but Gavin had other plans. Tues night aound 7ish I started having mild contractions. My hubby got a service call at 9 and had to go I told him about my contractions. Shortly after he left they started getting more intense so I decided to cal L&D. I told them that I think I`m going into labor and I`m coming in. In the mean time I had to call my parents and Nick to tell him we are going in. The contractions got really painful and I could feel my water just hanging in there but wanted to break soon. Had to wait for Nick to get home which he was 45 mins away plus our drive was another 30 mins. I was debating whether to go to the local hospital or not by this time. While waiting I had to wake the kids and made them wait in the van. As soon as Nick got home we headed to the hospital. I called my dad to tell them that the baby was coming and they should have everything ready. Then we got held up by a train, luckily it wasn`t that long. When we arrived at the ER doors the Dr and nurse were waiting along w/ a gurney and wheel chair. The were even thinking of sendig and ambulance casue they were afraid I would of had the baby in the car! They zoomed me up. I hurried and got the gown on and the nurses were checking me. All they could feel was a VERY full water bag. I was ready to go! They hurried got the Dr he broke my water and baby Gavin was crowning. I pushed once or twice and as he was coming out he was turning and also had his cord raped tightly around his neck. The Dr had to cut the cord and turn him. I pushed a total of 3Xs and he was born! I was in the room for 14 mins before he was born! So we just barely made it in time. Since he came so quick the Dr didn`t have time to cut me and I tore alot, 2 rows between 24-30 stitches in all. If it wasn`t for my water not breaking who knows what would of happened!
