Juliana`s birthstory

I was induced on Monday October 26, 2009. I arrived at the hospital around 6:30 am. I was at 3cm. The doctor came in and broke my water. My IV was started and blood work was drawn. I was moved to my labor room. Pitocin was started around 8:00 am. I was feeling great until I reached 5cm and 90% effaced. I asked for IV drugs. I was given Stadol which took my mind off of the pain. After the Stadol wore off I requested my epidural. It took awhile to receive because I had to have 2 liters of fluids pushed before they would administer it. The epidural worked wonders! I was completely numb the rest of labor. I was completely dilated by 6:00 pm. I wanted to wait to push until I felt pressure. I had a very hard time delivering. Juliana turned out to be sunny side up and also my pelvis was very small. I received an episotomy. At 7:41 pm Juliana was born and put on my chest. It was an amazing moment. She was meconium aspirate so she was taken and worked on. She is completely healthy and beautiful!
