Emily-Josephine`s birthstory

Induced due to GD. Two insertions of gel (6 hours apart) and then a day on the hormone drip. Finally able to push 36 hours later. After first push Emily turned. Surgeon had to manually turn her back, having used a pair of scissors to gain access - ouch!!! Another push (4 mins later) and she was out. Found she was grunting due to swallowing some amniotic fluid so was rushed to the special baby unit. 12 hours later she was back in the ward with me. We stayed in the hospital for 5 nights where they were great and kept a close eye on her. Now 8 weeks later it all seems a distant memory!
