Arihanna`s birthstory

I had been having contraction on and off for about a week, but no further dilation. It was sunday and I hadn`t had a contraction all day, which was a change because I had been having them all weekend. I was helping out with my son`s Cub Scout even at our church, the PIneWood Derby I was the score keeper, the races were done around 3:30 and around 3:30 I started to have very strong contractions, by 3:45, I was doubled over in pain. I told my mother (who was there helping too) that I was going to gothe hospital to get checked out, so she kept my 2 older childern with her. I drove home and told my hubby to get the baby (my 10 month old) dressed, because I need to go get checked out. SO we dropped him off at my parent`s house with my dad and drove in a blizzard to the hospital. We got to the hospital at 4:05pm they got me a room and I got undressed and in bed and at about 4:25 they checked me and I was 9+ dilated and contractions were about 2 mins apart. They called the doctor to break my water and they said the baby would be here soon. I was very shocked because the contractions weren`t bad at all. So at 4:49 the doctor came in and broke my water, but when he broke my water the baby flowed out with my water. I didn`t even push, she was born at 4:50pm. She was born at 36 weeks, but was only 1 day short of being 37 weeks, she scored 9 on her apgars and is a little jaundice, but does not need any further treatment. We were in the hospital until Tuesday and were able to go home together. I am so blessed.

Tymarion`s birthstory

On friday July 10th, I started leaking fluid, I wasn`t positive, so I called the oncall doc who told me to just watch the fluid and if I start having contractions to come on in to get checked out. I started to have contractions at about 8pm they were 5 mins apart. I go into L&D around 9pm, they hook me up to the monitors and we wait for the doc to come in. Around 11 my contractions were still only 5 mins apart, the doc checked me and to my suprise I was dilated to 5, i was stuck at 3 on Monday and I was having contractions on and off for days but to be at a 5 was quite the shock. So they get me admitted ,he said I wasn`t in active labor, but they couldn`t send me home at a 5 so they were just monitoring my contractions, they had to give me the b-strep antibiotics because they hadn`t done my swab in the office so they were being proactive in case it was positive. So they wanted to get the antibiotics in me before Baby Ty arrived. At about 2am the doc came and checked me again, I was still at 5cm. I slept for about 3 hours on and off, the nurses changed and I had a great nurse named Holly, she kept me company I had my hubby running the kiddies around since I was still stuck at 5cm. At about 11 my doc comes in, by then I wasn`t having consistant contractions and he was not pleased with that, so he decided to start a pitocin drip. I was so nervous for the drip, but honetly it wasn`t too bad. Probably because it wasn`t making me progress either. My hubby and daughter come in for a quick visit before he dropped her off at my moms with the rest of the kids. At about 1:45pm my doc comes in, I`m due for my last dose of antibiotics, he checks me and I`m still at 5. He teases me because my last 2 labors were 90 mins and 41 mins long. he breaks my water, the contractions get more consistant, I tell Holly I think I want the epidural if I`m going to be in this much pain for 5 more centimeters, she gives me a pain med thru my IV to take the edge off and in the mean time she gives me a quick check to see how dilated I am before calling the Epi team, well she checks me at 2:05 and I`m at 10 cm, Hubby takes my daughter down to the nurses lounge with the portable DVD player and a nurse is there on her break to keep her company, Holly gets another nurse to check me just to make sure, and I am at 10. They page the doc who is over doing a circumcsion. After 2 very painful contractions I yell to Holly that I feel like I need to push, she takes a peak between my legs and say..and I quote `OH SHIT` She hits the button on the wall. In walks a midwife named Peggy, who just happened to be walking by and heard Holly yell, I have never met Peggy but she was in her street clothes with coffee in hand, she says to Holly, `do you need some help` and Holly say `yes, this baby is Perineal and he`s coming right now`, she says this while throwing Peggy gloves, Peggy puts on her gloves and out flys Baby TY. After being at the hospital for 15 hours, a short 31 mins after having my water broken he was born at 2:17pm, they weren`t even able to get my last dose of antibiotics in and the pain meds she gave me thru my IV didn`t kick in until after I had him, and my doc comes walking in 7 mins after labor with his hands in the air, saying `what happen I only left for a minute`..haha Tymarion Al Tate has a full head of hair and is just perfect in every way. He was born at 37 weeks and 3 days, he weighs 7lbs 9 oz and is 20 inches long! His big sister who is our guardian angel sent us the perfect addition to our family. Thank you so much Ari we love you and miss you so much, watch over your baby brother and keep him safe. This has really been a life changing experience, Tymarion is our rainbow baby he has already brought us so much joy and happiness, we love him so much!! He is the oerfect addition to our family!

Tyon-Marshon`s birthstory

July 11th I went into the hospital because my contractions were 5 mins apart, it was 12:30 am they checked me and I was 4cm(still), but my bag of water was bulging and I was almost completely thinned out..I was 36 weeks and 6 days & it was my son`s (Tymarion) 1st b-day. My doc could not do anything to help me along because I wasn`t full term, so they kept me for monitoring(because of my High BP & really fast labors) So that night I did some walking, but stopped having regular contractions they went to more like 15-20 mins apart. The next morning, I was praying I had progressed, but was pretty sure I hadnt. The nurse wakes me up at 7am and tells me my doc wants to check me, he does and he stretches me to 5cm and told em he`s going to break my water, I kind of panic, because my hubby wasn`t there. My doc tell me that because I`m not in actual labor this may take time, I call my hubby and tell him they broke my water. Around 7:15am they put me on pitocin to help speed things up. I had ONE bad contraction and asked for the epidural (I didn`t want to have anymore of those hard contractions) So my hubby calls and tells me he`s on his way in the building, right when I hung up I felt some terrible pressure. Then I felt it again, I rang the call bell, told the nursel and seconds later, in walks my hubby(around 7:33), I scream to him that I am having bad pressure and I think the baby is coming NOW. He puts on hospital gloves (just in case he had to deliver him) as he pulls the emergency call bell in runs everyone, there were 13 people to witness the speedy delivery of my baby boy, by the time the nurse got there which was seconds after hubby arrived Tyon was already crowning and I was pushing, he made it out before my doc even entered the room, the nurse delivered him, the epi team arrived right as I was pushing, so no epidural for me. From the time they broke my water until he was born it was 34 minutes, I had one REAL contractions and only pushed once, he pretty much delivered himself lol Tyon weighed 7lbs 1oz and was 20 inches long. I am so blessed my sweet Ari angel picked out another perfect addition to our family!
