Liam-Kaydyn`s birthstory
On Tuesday, Oct 20th, I had my 38 week check up. When we got to the doctors office, they were unusually busy. They told us they were running a little behind, about 30 mins. We were fine, just sit back and relaxed. My DH and I just read magizines and giggled and were just in a great mood. Well finally 3 hours later, they called my name to go back. We went back and they took my BP. The nurse got quiet. Usually they tell me right away what my BP is. So I said `is it ok?`. She said its a little high, we will chck it again in a min. Then she put me on the monitors. Baby was happy and I was having contractions. Then my doc came in and he took it again. It went up even more. Then he sent in a nurse to take it with a electronic meter. Went up even more. 149/100. So at that point my doc came back in and told me that he wanted to induce me that night. He went ahead and checked me again and I was 1-2 dialated and starting to effaced. I was soooooo happy because I wanted to be induced anyways. He told me to go home and get my stuff, go eat me my last meal, and head to L&D. And that I did. While I was out and about I went to the restroom, and past my mucus plug. I think labor was coming anyways.
So I get to L&D about 6pm on 10/20, and they get me hooked up right away. They have a really hard time getting in my IV, but finally did. I hate IV`s. They started my fluids, and at 9pm they came in and put in the cervidil. It immediatly started working. Contractions hit and then all of a sudden they STOPPED! Come to find out my cervidil fell out. So they put it back in and HARD LABOR HIT! I stuck with it for 5 hours. I was physically exhausted. They called in my epi and they were in there with the epi within 5 mins. And that included it IN! They were fast. And it immediatly started working. I was great. That happpened about 830 am. Then they started the pitocin. So I was finally able to get some rest so I slept for a few hours. Then everyone started to show up. Family... While i was in labor... BAD IDEA. Anyways. About 5pm I had a room full of visitors I kept saying to everyone, `go get a nurse, I feel like I am going to poop!` I said that for 30 mins when finally they went and got a nurse. She came in about 540 and checked me and said I was fully dialated! YEA! Except that at that time my epi alarm started going off and IT WORE OFF!!! AWWW! I freaked out. I was really starting to feel a TON of pressure and pain. So after they got everything set up I started pushing about 550 pm. I pushed for 10 mins and they called my doc. He asked them if he had 5 mins that he had to finish his last patient. She origanlly told him yes, then called him back and told him NO because his head was coming out! I had to hold him in for 10 mins! So finally a few extremely painful pushed later, he was out. The cord was around his neck so the DH didnt get to cut his cord. They were afraid that he wouldnt cry right away. As soon as he came out, but he did! They heard him all down the hallway and in the waiting room!
The experience was soooo painful, but would do it again in a heartbeat. And will!

Lochlann-Shia`s birthstory
Well as we thought we were going to have a csection on Tuesday 12/20 due to Lochlann being transverse, we went to our 39/40 week check up to find out he was head down and we were sent straight over for induction!!!
Well we walked over to the hospital from the doctors office. Got upstairs and they put us straight into a room. Hubby ran to the car to get our bags while I filled out paperwork. Once he got back from the car, I put on my HOT PINK birthing gown! :) The nurses were oooing and awwwing over it! I had to be colorful! Lol... :) They got me all hooked up and started pitocin at 10 am. They checked me right when the pitocin started and I was 2-3 cm, 70%, -1. The pitocin started working right away.
So I stuck with it until 2:30 when doc came in and broke my waters, with NO CHANGE! Well he broke my waters and I went ahead and got my epi. O MY! That hurt. It wasnt that painful with my last son. Well it only took to the right side! I felt everything on my left side. So I had to labor another 3 hours before they came back in to redo the epi. Once he did tho it was PERFECT! They checked me at 5:30 to see how far Id come. I was at 5 cm. So labor was going kinda blah and slow. Well nurse said if you feel any pressure let her know and she will come back and check me again. Well about 45 mins later I felt that pressure and my hubby went to tell the nurse and run back to the car to get the boppy so i could nurse right away after birth. Well she came in (while hubby was gone to car mind you) and checked me again and I was FULLY DILATED! Lol. Less the an hour I went from 5-10 cm! About 6:45pm I started pushing. Pushed ONE time and they called for the doctor. I wasnt allowed to push again until doc got there. He arrived about 7. I went through THREE contractions, 9 pushes and my 8 lb 11 oz SCREAMING baby boy was born! He was put directly on my chest and hubby was allowed to cut the cord! We were not able to last time cause the cord was around my sons neck twice.
This labor and delivery was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! So smooth, painless for the most part, and absolutely memorable! I am in heaven with my 3 boys and the transition from 2 to 3 kiddos has been so great! LOVE MY LIFE!!! BEYOND WORDS!!! :))
