Tyler-Ricky-Jasman`s birthstory

Had been to a barbeque at some friends and ended up gettin home about 1.30-2 ish in the morning. brushed my teeth and hopped into bed. i was laying there thinking about when i go into labour to make sure i have heaps of water when all of a sudden i heard a pop and a massive warm gush2.10am. i squeesed Paul`s hand and he said to me did your waters just break? i said i think so and i have never seen him jump out of bed so quickly lol. Paul turned the light on and i was shaking. he had a look and said he couldnt see anything and i moves my leg and he said `oh yeahhhh`

I layed there shaking for ages i think i was in shock cos i wasnt cold. and Paul kept saying we will go to the hospital. But i didnt see the point at that time cos it was my first baby and i knew it would prob take a few hours so i decided to call my friend who has a four month old daughter.
She answered the phone saying `are you in labour?` lol

Anyways we ended up calling the hospital they said come on up. i went for a shower first thoug and had to call my other friend cos Paul had had a couple of drinks.
so she came around and we left just before 3 am just as we were leaving i had a tiny tiny period cramp and said i think i might be starting to get contractions i didnt know because i hadnt had any braxton hicks.
got to the hospital and they were definately contractions starting.
They put the monitors on my belly and just before 5 the midwife said that baby is ok heart beatis fine and he is moving but im in early early labour and my contractions ahve no rythem and arnt very strong so i can stay or go home and get some rest. i decided to go home so i could have a shower and be comfortable but she gave me some panedine forte.
we went to my dads cos he only lives like two blocks away from the hospital.
got to dads just on 5 am still no sleep since sunday morning
Paul went to sleep around 6 and our friend had a cat nap for about an hour and a half on the lounge so did i.
woke up and was having harder contractions but still really bearable
Paul woke about 9.30 am
About 10ish my dad started timing them cos they were pretty quick i figured there may be some rythm and they were getting pretty strong to the point were i could tell just before i would get one cos my stomach would tense up and poke out a little bit it was prety funny actually.
So they were appx 3 mins apart lasting about 40 seconds dad said we should maybe think about going back to the hospital but i didnt want to be stuck in a hospital room for hours on end and still they were bearable.
about 10.30 ish they were 2 mins apart and lastins appx a minute each.
dad was still saying we should go the hospital with them that close. so Paul suggested we call them and ask what they think.
The midwife i spoke to said we dont have to go up its still up to us that if i wanted to we could try maybe a shower or heat pack at home first.
so i decided i would go for that shower i wanted paul came in with me so i could lean on him with my contractions.
The hot water was sooooo nice but such a bad idea at the same time beacause they then got unbearable and it took me about an hour to get out of the shower we decided then to go to the hospital Paul helped me get dressed and i started crying he kept saying `breathe` and i am so glad he was there because i would not have been able to do it without him he was such a great support person and i didnt abuse him once lol

Left dads in tears and with dad nearlly in tears got to the hospital around 11.30-12ish they took us to the consultant room were i had ben early that morning and the midwife asked if i needed to wee which i said yes and when i wnet to the toilet i had my bloody show. so the midwife said we would go to another room the delivery room lol.

Got into a hospital gown and

i heard the midwife say she would organise some drug for me.
she hooked up the gas machine told me how to use. a contracton came and i took about 4 puffs and took it out of my mouth cos i wanted air and its tasted funny... she tried to shove it back into my mouth but i didnt want it cos it was annoying so the next contraction she did the same thing and i said i didnt want it.

She did an internal that was just as dam painful and a contraction she was soooooooooo ruff and i was 8 cm dialted.

So i laid there going through my contractions holding Paul and my friends hand seeing as she was still there
(it kinda just happened that way i didnt plan on having her there lol so glad she was though)

About twelve thirty my sister showed up she had called my friend and asked if i wanted her there i didnt answer so she just came.
which i am also glad she was there.

Because i hadnt had any sleep i kept half passin out between contractions i could still here everyone but it was like i was asleep it was weird.
with the contraction i ended up making moaning noises like i was aving sex lol it helped to make noise

about 1.45 i ended up begging Paul and my friend to get me some drugs well more like yelled it to them but i was so close they wouldnt give me anythin.

i kept saying i have the urge to push which really does feel like you need to poo and every time i pushed it felt sooooooo good.

i needed to wee so i told the midwife and she got me on the toilet i couldnt wee but did have a contraction while i was on the toilet the midwife said to push even though i was on the toilet.

and to my surprise it felt sooooo much easier sitting and pushing so she asked if i would like to try the birthing stool which i did.with Paul sitting behind me and my sister and friend sitting in front of me

I was pushing with every contraction and i could feel his little head it was beautiful and it hurt more than anything i have ever felt before in my life especially when his head really did crown it burned and i felt sick and like i was gona pass out only because i was tearing which i didnt know at the time.

and then all of a sudden his head was out and one more push he was fully out and no more pain.
i picked him up straight away and could not stop looking at him
MOST BEAUTIFUL THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

My placenta came out about 2mins later.

Tyler Ricky Jasman born 2.22pm 5lbs 13 ounces 50 cms long yes he`s a little fellow no complications no drugs
from the time my waters broke 12 hours 12 mins of labour which i did mostly at home so it didnt feel that long.
And my friend that was there filmed it for me so that was really really good. as it was part of my birth plan

Now paul and i are trying to enjoy no sleep lol but are enjoying getting to know our son.
For something that hurts soooo badly its soooo worth every second
