My labor with Jenna started on Tuesday September 21 at 12:02 pm when I lost my mucus plug. The contractions were bareable so I went on with my every day life. They became more frequent and stronger. Around 6 pm my parents and I had to go to the lawyers to finalize my living will. At that point I was the contractions were hard and long. I was in so much pain that it made driving my car nearly impossible. My mother met me at the LDS church that is over by their house to drive me the rest of the way to our lawyers. About 8 pm I finally decided that it was time to go to the hospital. When we arrived they admitted me in my own room where I would deliver and recover. At this point I had dialated 4.5 cm. For another three hours I had such horrible contractions to the point that I could not relax, which inevitably caused my progression to slow. They decide to give me something to help me sleep. Around 9 am in the morning my doctor came in to check my progress. He stated that I finally reach 5 cm and I was now able to receive my epidural if I would like one. I was like of course lets do it NOW. With in 2 hours of the epidural I reach 10 cm and it was time to push. I pushed for 2 more hours and at 12:02 pm on Wednesday September 22 Jenna had finally arrived.

My labor with Ewan was much different than Jenna's. A week before I was due I started getting anxiety attacks which was a cause for concern so my doctor had me go in for a non-stress test. Ewan was not being affected by all my anxiety and stress. At my doctors appointment which was that Thursday he started giving me options on my delivery since my stress levels and anxiety started raising my blood pressure. I opted for him to strip my membranes which he informed me that doing this does not always bring on labour. I was ok with that until he started the procedure. It hurt so bad to the point where I started to cry. He told me after he was done that he wanted me to come in the next day to see if I progressed. On Friday March 12th my husband and I went in at 6pm. My doctor checked my cervix and sure enough I had made very good progress I went from 2 cm to 5 cm. He told us go to the hospital at 8 pm to be admitted. When we got to the hospital at 8 pm they checked me in and my doctor came right in to check me. He told me that I was holding at 5 cm. He also said don't be suprised if the baby didn't come until the next day. At 12am my contractions were so unbearable that the nurse came in and checked me she asked if I wanted an epidural. I was like heck yes. They had to call in my doctor and wake up the anesthesiologist. When my doctor (who luckly was on call that night) came in he checked me again and said that I was at 6.5 cm. I got my epidural right in time!! One hour after receiving my epidural it was time to push. I pushed for about 45 minutes. Ewan was born on Saturday March 13th at 2:15 am.

Pre-labor started with Lily on Saturday June 21st. Nothing serious or anything that lead me to even remotely believe that she would be coming anytime soon. On Sunday I woke up with major cramping at around 1 am. I got up to walk around and the contractions were not going away. Finally at 5:30 I decided that this was the real thing and woke up my husband. I told him to start timing duration and that I think at 6 am we should head to the hospital. At 6:15 I called my mom to tell her not to bring the kids home and we were off to the hospital. We arrive shortly before 7 got in and checked. I was already 6.5 to 7 dialated. The only problem was my doctor was on vaction... I had no doctor. The finally found the doctor that was covering for him, but she was at another hospital in another city delivering another baby. I would have to wait, which I knew I could since my water hadn`t ruptured and I was getting an epidural. Oh the joys of drugs got to love them. When she arrived alittle after 10 she checked me and I was a good 8. She decided that she would break my water. Instead my water decided to break on its own. After my water broke everything went so quick....
