Lillian-Christine-Wilson`s birthstory
My contractions started Wed. night (May 21,2003) at 8pm and at 4 am- May 22- i went to the hospital and i was only dilated 2, but my blood pressure was sky high so they kept me with contractions 4-6 min apart. At 10 that morning i was 3 cm 100% effaced and my blood pressure was still super high (180- 160 for the top number), so my doctor swept my membranes, gave me my epidural, and broke my water. By 2pm I was 10 cm, and 2:30 I started to push. I finally had her (after breaking just about every blood vessel in both of my eyes) at 4:23pm May 22, 2008 weighing 7lb 7.6 oz, 20inches long. A perfect little baby girl. They put me on Magnesium (iv) to keep me from having a stroke from the high blood pressure, because of the mag and high blood pressure they kept me till May 24- saturday. At that time they found that Lillian had jaundice so they kept her (and thus me) until 6 pm Sunday May 25, 2008. Now we are finally home and happy- life is good, and my baby is cute and precious!
All in all labor was great, the only part I really disliked was the actual 2 hours of pushing.

Chloe-Roselynn-Wilson`s birthstory
I went in for an early 38 week check up= 37w5d. My blood pressure was 148/96(3cm) and so my doctor decided to induce that day. He stripped my membranes at my 10:10am appointment and I went over to labor and delivery. About 1pm(5cm) they started my pitocin and broke my water. Nothing really happened until 4pm when they started a fresh bag of pitocin thinking the other wasn`t working because it was old. Contractions kicked up some but were still irregular. About 6pm the doctor came to check and I was still a solid 5cm. He helped the water come out some more. Contractions immediately picked up and I got my epidural. 8pm I was 7cm and 80% effaced I estimated that the baby would be there by 9 pm. My epidural ran out about 8:30. They started a new one but it was taking its sweet time. Sure enough at 9pm I was 10cm and 100 percent with +1 station. At 9:05 the nurse let me try to push. The second I started to push the baby started to come out. She immediately told me to stop and wait for the doctor. The next 15 minutes were some of the longest in my life as I tried to keep from doing the most natural thing in the world. The doctor finally arrived and the baby was out during the first contraction with 3 pushes. I needed no stitches or cutting. Relief!! Miss Chloe Roselynn Wilson arrived HUGE for her gestational age at 7lbs 15 oz 20.5inches 1/4/10 at 9:20pm. She had some issues breathing because I had been on magnesium for so long. After 30 minutes the nurses took her to be examined. She was there for 4 hours getting squared away. After that she did perfect. She ate well, slept well. I was on Mag sulf for 24 hours and other than that felt GREAT. It was a wonderful birth. :) Thank you God for all your many blessings!!!!!
