Brody-Ryan`s birthstory

I gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Tuesday 15 April at 5:32am. The night before I started having cramps around 10:30pm. I had been to the doctor earlier in the day and they stripped my membranes. When the cramps began that evening, I thought they may just be from the procedure that day, but they continued to get worse and we headed to the hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital, I was checked and found to be 5cm dialated. I was immediately admitted and given an epidural, which worked wonders until I got to 8cm, when it suddenly started wearing off! :( I labored for a total of 7 hours. When I got to 10cm, I pushed for 7 minutes and had a healthy boy weighing in at 9lbs 6oz. Needless to say, I am very sore as my delivery was a vaginal delivery. He is absolutely perfect though and I`d do it all over in a heartbeat. He is now settling into his new home and we are establishing a routine. His sister is loving being a big sister and I continue to look at him in awe and amazed that he grew in my tummy.
