Elena-Jayne`s birthstory

I woke up on the Saturday morning with a few pains and had also started losing my mucus plug. On that morning I had an appointment at the hospital for a CTG test. So I went along to the hospital and they said all was fine and that if the pain gets worse then I should come back into hospital or if not then I was to come into the hospital the next evevning to be started off. When I got back home from hospital my contractions really started coming on strong (think it was the walk back that did it ) anyways I told my husband that I had contractions but nothing too servere. He had to go and teach so I said well if I need you then come straight back. So , he said he would. We were both very calm about everything and to be honest neither of us knew if this was the real thing lol. During the time he was gone, my contractions got stronger so I called him and said ok, I think this is it. He came home straight away and we went to the hospital. They checked me and said I was 2cm and that I should go for a walk to get things moving faster. So , I did and after an hour I was 5,5 cm. They were getting stronger and stronger and I managed to breath through the pain. At 18.00pm my waters broke. That was strange as I felt a pop in my tummy and then as if I´d wet myself. Well after that Oh my god, the pain started and the MW said thsi baby will be here by 19.00pm. We thought she was joking but no, sure enough at 19.02 pm my baby was born. It all went very quick and I didn´t have any pain relief. I really enjoyed my labour and I will say its so much better and easier second time around. The only thing that was too much was when I had my stitches. I was dreading having stitches and thought I would get away with not having any as this was my second baby lol
Now I have one boy and one girl and feel like my family is complete and am so happy that it´s all over with.
