Patrick-James-(PJ)`s birthstory

I woke up with contractions at 3 am on the 21st. I just stayed up all night and waited. When my husband got up I told him to go into work, because I wasn`t sure if this was `it` or not. at arouns 8 I called my mother and she came over. I got to the hospital at around 10 and my husband was there. My water broke at 11 and I though for sure it was going to progress fast. I was 2 centimeters at first, and then 6 by 3:00....but then at a standstill. They gave me pitocen and I progressed to 10 cent. but he didnt drop. They upped the pitocen and at 1 am i was ready to push. I pushed for about 45 mins. with the nurse, and then the dr. came in. I won`t lie...it hurt! But once the dr. was there he was out in about 6 pushes. What a relief when he arrived! I tore so got stiches, but I didn`t feel anything...epidural all the way!! He`s perfect. The only downside was that after 16 hrs. at the hospital, and being up for 24 hrs. from when the contractions started, I was EXHAUSTED!!! It was surreal and I`d do it again in a second! (Just wish they`d started the pitocen earlier so labor was shorter, but it doesn`t matter now...HE`S HERE!!
