Christopher-Ballou`s birthstory
Let me see how can I start this. On september 12th, I decided to go walking but it was a short distance walk due to it getting dark and I don`t like to be by myself. Around 10 pm, the contractions started getting closer and painful. We waited until they finally got up to 3 minutes and went straight to the hospital. My labor experience was not a pretty one. Every time I had a contraction, I would vomit. When the doctor check me she said I was 1 cm dilated when I arrived. I thought they was going to send me home, but due to the non stop vomiting, they kept me. They also told me that the vomiting help me dilate. I swear it took them at least 2 hrs to finally give me an I.v. with some pain relief. Seriously, my labor felt like I was food poisoned. My Dh felt so bad for me as he watch everything I was going through. Finally around 7 am they gave me some different medication and I passed out. The contractions started again, waking me up. They said I was 8 cm dilated and finally gave me an epidural. I thought it was going to hurt, but it was just a sting. Boy was I glad those contractions pains went away. So I was numb from the waist down. My mom, and husband were the only ones in the room besides all the doctors and nurse. Every time they told me to push, it was so hard. Finally the doctor went and cut me to open the hole wider because the baby`s head seem to be stuck and I gave birth to a health baby boy. He is the most beautiful thing I ever seen. He is here sleeping at the moment, but I am in a lot of pain due to the stitches they gave me . Labor was harder than I thought. I wish you all the best that have not had your babies yet. It is a changing experience for sure.
