Elijah-James`s birthstory

Well here goes! Wed June 1st I woke up to a gush of water at about 6am. My bladder was very full so I went to the bathroom and assumed it was not my water breaking it was a `accident`. So I went back to bed and about an hour later I felt some water leaking out and it clicked. I think that was my water! I then went on to lose my mucous plug and then to have mild contractions. I waited because I wasn`t sure if that was what happened and didn`t want to have them turn me away at the hospital. I decided to time my contractions at about 9am and they were 3-5 minutes apart. So I ran and did my hair (:-D) then packed my bag. It`s all about the priorities hehe. I called my mom and she told me to immediately call the doctor so I did and they told me to come on into the hospital. I finally got there around 11. They confirmed that it was my water and my contractions started to get very irregular and barely there. They started me on pitocin. I was dilated to a 3 when I got there and it didn`t take very long to dilate much more. I got my epidural a few hours later the contractions were getting pretty intense. I had a wonderful ephidural and did not feel a thing. I was dilated to a 10 and they told me to push to see how good of a pusher I was and almost pushed the baby out with one push so they said no more and we hung around for the doctor to come. He came and I pushed twice and here he was. I feel extremely lucky! He is gorgeous and healthy. We are truley blessed!
