Ashlyn-Rae-Disney`s birthstory

It all started cause I fell down some stairs in front of my house, I went to the DR and they did a NST and it Ashlyns heart rate dropped once into the 60`s. So they said since I was scheduled to be induced on Wednesday the 19th and I was 28 weeks and 3 days pregnant that they want me to go straight to the hospital to be delivered, I drove there not stopping any where, my husband was at work and he met me there, I got there at 4 pm on 8/14/09, I was given Pitocin at 9 pm, contractions started right away, I requested something to help me get some sleep around midnight so they gave me Newbain, it took the edge off and I slept til 4am when the contractions got stronger but still not strong enough for me to loose control, I think my but hurt more from where I fell down the steps. The docs checked me and I was only 4cm so I didn`t want my epidural yet and was given some more newbain. It didn`t take the pain away and I was finally given my epidural at 10:30am on 8/15/09. I LOVED IT!!! I never lost control, I could see how easy it would be since I had a lot of back labor. I just knew I needed to stay calm or it would get worse. After I got my epidural I just waited, I never felt the pressure I kept hearing that I would feel, the docs came in around 1:30pm and said I 10 cm but had a little bit of a cervix left so they asked if I wanted to wait a little longer, so I said ok, I was not uncomfortable at all, at 2:15pm the doc came in and checked me again, said lets do some practice pushes she said 1, 2, 3, STOP cause baby was there, I didn`t push anymore however the contraction I was having pushed her out the rest of the way, I kept saying it feels like she is still coming next thing I know the head was out and the Doc was still putting on her gloves and than the nurse caught Ashlyn as she slid the rest of the way out.. It was so fast and enjoyable.. I had a great L & D nurse. It made a difference I am sure. Because Ashlyn came out so fast I tore and had to be stitched back up... OUCH!!!! That is the only discomfort I have felt from delivery. However I knocked a kidney stone loose when I fell down the steps so I am passing that still.. As for my labor, it was easy and I loved everything about it... My daughter is sooo beautiful and worth everything I have encountered to get her here!!!
