Xavier`s birthstory
So, I had my weekly Dr appt on Friday and was dressed for work immediately after the appt. I told my Dr how I was treated by the on call Dr and how everyone including the ladies on the site was recommending that I go to ER. Blood pressure checked and it was elevated. She did a vaginal check and pulled out a glop of old blood. I told her that I haven`t felt right all week and pointed to the area that was bothering me. It was the same spot as the previous c-sec. She admitted me right away. Of course my phone was dead so I had to quickly text my husband to pick up our bags and come to the hospital. He gets there and the c-sec is scheduled for 6pm. No food till then. I go in the OR nervous and shaking. I get the spinal block and it doesn`t take. Everything went right but it just didn`t take so I had to get an epidural. She goes in and mentions first that I have no fat. The she sobers up and tells me that the previous Dr sewed me up a bit weird. She goes straight to the spot that I pointed out to her that hurt and she touched it and it bleed. Not quite sure what it was but she thinks it may have been placenta seperation or just ripping at the site of my old stitches. She then tells me that I cannot have anymore children due to the damage that was done. She had to find Xavier. He was so breeched that she had to cut my uterus in a T. He comes out and he is limp and gray. I hear the nurses buzzing and they are talking about calling Drs, nurses and NICU. My husband and I look at each other and silently pray. After some time my husband says, `He is now pink.` A minute later I hear his cry and I begin to cry realizing what I just went through. They work on him and my Dr is stitching me up telling me that I cannot get pregnant again. She has to take her time because there was a lot of work to do. We all get wheeled into the suite and after 15-20 Xavier is ok`d for me to hold him. He is so tiny and cute that nurses want to keep him with them because I was drugged up so much from the spinal block and epidural I was throwing up every 15 minutes. I let them keep him after the grandparent buzz went home. If I would have listened to you ladies I should have had him a week ago because you were right. The good thing is that Xavier got another week in the womb and all is well. My Dr said that I should have called in because the Dr on call literally calls herself a b&*!#). So many things could have gone wrong but in God`s hands I now have an encouraging story to tell.
