Rylan-Stone`s birthstory

I was at work and started timing my contractions when they were 10mins apart. I think I was in denial that it was actually time so I stayed at work until 5pm when my contractions were 7-8mins apart. I had Jon pick me up and we went home and walked around the neighborhood with Presley to help the contractions get closer together. My mother in law came over around 7pm and we stayed home until it was time to put Presley to bed at 8:45. By that time I was ready to go to the hospital. When we got there it was packed. I had to wait to get admitted until 10:30 and I was 5cm dilated at that time. They gave me my epidural right away and I was feeling a lot more comfortable. When my OB/GYN came in to check me around 12:30 I was between 7-8cm`s and he broke my water around 1am. When he broke my water I felt the baby crown immediately and epidural had worn off so I got another dose. I was complete and started pushing and he was born at 1:14am. I felt most of the birth and the urge to push. It was intense but very short lived. Rylan was born and all the pain was gone. I barely tore and just had to have 2 stitches. I feel great. It was so different from my last experience. With Presley I had a 4th degree tear and recovery was aweful. I can`t believe how good I feel. I feel so grateful to have had such a wonderful experience and I couldn`t be more in love with my beautiful new son!
