May 19. I started having contractions after me and SO BD. Well all I can say is thats what worked for us. LOL. They started around 1:30 a.m. My SO fell asleep because I didn't tell him I was having contractions because I wasn't for sure if they were the real ones. About an hour of laying in bed with contraction bouncing in between 10 - 15 minutes apart I finall decided to get out of bed and get some water and walk around. I remember thinkning that they would go away after that. Well they did not. Around 3 a.m. I decided to wake up my SO and tell him I was having contractions. He asked me what did I want him to do about it. He just thought they were BH contractions like I have been having. LOL. Then I told him that it was time to go the hospital. While he was getting ready I woke up my daughter who is 6 yrs old and got her ready. We then grabbed our bags and headed to the hospital. When got to L&D I was 3 almost 4 cm dilated with contractions coming back to back. I was admitted and got my EPI and IVand pitocin drip. My daughter was watching everything and full of questions. All the nurses loved her! Oh yea the EPI made me vomit a few time just like it did when I was in labor with my daughter. I also had to have penacillin because I was GB+. Nobody told me that it BURNS going thru your body. My Dr. was coming to the hospital at 7:30 a.m. because he had a scheduled surgery so before his surgery he came by and checked on me. At this point I was 7cm dilated, so he broke my water. He came back after the surgery and I am slowly progressing, so he left. Around 3p.m. I was starting to feel pressure so the nurses called my Dr. and set up the room. I remember my daughter asking me over end over if I was feeling pressure. I had a few practice pushes with the nurses. Then they told me not to push anymore and I could Malachi's head coming on out. We didn't think that my Dr. was gonna make it back in time because Malachi was sliding out on his own with every contraction.
