I was scheduled for induction at 4am on Friday May 9th. I got to the hospital and they started the pitocin around 5. It didnt seem real to me. I had been waiting so long to have him and I finally was. So my doc came in at 7 and broke my water. From that point on I was in labor. I started getting REAL contractions. Haha i thought i was having them before, i was so wrong!!!! These hurt SO BAD. By 11am I was in so much pain people were coming in to see me and were getting scared because of how bad I was crying! So finally they gave me my epidural which didnt hurt at all compared to the contractions i was having. After my epidural around noon I was dilated to a 4. My doc said I would probably have Wyatt after dinner time. Well around 3 i told the nurse my epidural was wearing off and i could feel the contractions. She checked me and I was a 7!!! Then around 3:30 i told her i felt like i had to push. she told me not to but when she checked me she said "oh my! the next contraction i want you to push, your ready to go!" i couldnt believe it! i was in shock and so scared. i didnt know how to "push"! so i started pushing and i got to see his head crowning with a mirror. i kept tellin my mom i couldnt do it there was no way he was gonna come out of me! after about 30 min of pushing the nurse made me stop to go get the doc. that was hard! she told me just to grunt when i had a contraction so i wouldnt push. talk about pain! finally the doc showed up and i pushed 2 more rounds of contractions and out came my one true love, Wyatt Alan Hart. My mom said that i could give lessons on childbirth b/c i did so well. i felt every bit of it and everytime the nurse told me to push or stop pushing i did it. i have never felt love like this before though, my son is worth it all. he just woke up so i cant post anymore! good luck to all!
