Shayla`s birthstory

It was quite a difficult ordeal getting her!! I was 14 days over due when I went in for induction. I had 27 hours of induction, 14 hours of labour and I developed a fever which put her in a little distress so we had to end up doing an emergency c-section anyway. What are you going to do? She just didn’t want to vacate the premises!

Labour was horrible. By the time labour started I was already exhausted. The back of her head was on my sacrum and the pain in my butt was paralyzing. I was hooked to an IV and heart rate monitor so I was not free to move around. It did not feel good for my husband to massage me so I had very little to help cope with the pain. I could only endure just over an hour before asking for the epidural.

Drugs please!!

During my stay at labour and delivery throughout the 42 hours I heard many babies being born. Some clearly au natural...I won't soon forget the noises on that floor.

Unfortunately, she was quite stuck in there so the had to cut both horizontally and vertically inside me and the Dr. said future pregnancies would be scheduled c-sections because of this. I am ok with that at this point.
