Carson-Brady`s birthstory

Well I went into labor on Friday night. brady and i were just getting back from going to babys r us and were home and putting up wooden letters of his name over his crib and i started getting contractions. these contractions were not like any other ones i`ve had before. they were intense and about 6 minutes apart for an hour. i called the hospital and they told me to wait it out and drink water and take a bath and to call back if i was coming in. well after i hung up contractions started getting closer together and more painful. i was shaking! Brady and i decided it was time to go to the hospital, so we called my mom and went on our way.
when we got there they hooked me up to a monitor but contractions werent happening yet. when they finally did, the nurse said they were about 3-4 min apart. they were really big and strong! she checked me and i was 3 cm dialated. she then took me off the monitor and told me to walk around, because in order to stay i needed to show that i was making progress and needed to dialate more. so i walked and walked for 2 hours. then the actual doctor came in, he was a complete asshole. he said he was going to check me and when he did he told me i was 4 cm!! we were sooo happy. but then he looked at me and said `do you want me to break your water?` i said.. `well what do you think?` and the nurse said that he couldnt do that yet because i didn`t have an IV or anything in me yet, the doctor got mad and started breaking my water anyway, without telling me what he was doing or why he was doing it, and fussing at the nurse and telling him how `pissed` he was. then when he was done breaking my waters he just left, without another word.
the nurse was a sweetie and didn`t let that get to her. she immediately gave me an IV, which hurt, but sincce my waters broke my contractions were a MILLION times worse. i was in soo much pain and they were coming at about 2 min apart. i had to squeeze brady`s hand. it the most pain i have ever been in my life. the nurse gave me some kind of medicine that would take the edge off. she said she would call the anistesiologist [sp?]. when he finally came in, i was in tears from all the pain. he did the epidural, which hurt, but not any worse than the contractions. it took him a while to get it right bc i was feeling it more on my left side than on my right. not fun.
when he was done i layed back down and my mom was allowed back in.[ i gotta make the rest short bc carson is starting to wake up! ] my contractions were now a min and a half apart. i could really feel the pressure. his heartrate all of a sudden stopped and the nurse rolled me from side to side and brought in more nurses. turns out that i was fully dialated and the baby was ready to come out!!
i had to hold back on pushing because the asshole doc was in doing a c-section. they had to give me a shot to make the contractions slow down. when i could finally push, i only had to for about half an hour and he was out! my precious angel. i love him so much!!
