Hattie-Mae`s birthstory
This is the story I went to the doctor Thursday January 21st and he said he would see me before my next appt which was January 28th because I was 2cm dilated, 90% effaced and engaged to -2. Well after he checked me it was like I was leaking amniotic fluid so at 12:30 am Saturday morning I went to L&D. The nurse did 4 different test to see if it was amniotic fluid and all were negative. She also said it wasn`t urine that it was just thin discharge. I wasn`t convinced. I had to stay an hour so they could monitor Hattie just in case I guess that is standard when you go to L&D. I got home at 2:15 am and got on IAP. At 2:30 I decided to go to the bathroom and when I stood up my water broke. I ran and yelled to my husband from the toilet. I told him my water really broke now and he put his clothes back on. I called L&D and the nurse told me she could only be sure if I came back I told her I was going to wait. I decided to go to sleep for awhile. I woke up at 7am, at 9am I took a shower, did my hair, and make-up. My husband woke up at 9:30 kinda rushing and was like I`m not in any hurry and he was like I can tell it`s been 7 hours. So I got to Mercy at 11 and the nurse confirmed my water did break. When she checked to see how far dilated I was she said I was 7cm dilated and 100% effaced. By 6pm they realized Hattie was lying on her side and that the biggest part of her head wasn`t going to make it through the smallest part of my pelvis. So my doctor would be to the hospital by 6:30 to do my c-section at 7pm. I immediately started crying and cried all the way to the OR. Once I was there I was okay after talking to my doctor. They were really nice. After being in there for literally 5 minutes I heard Hattie screaming and then I was crying again. Hattie cried the entire 15 minutes they were sewing me up! And all the way to our room. C-section isn`t as bad as people say or people make you think. I feel great now and that is the least of my memories from having my little girl.
