Biggest achievement so far:
1 mo-She can hold her head up... and sleep for 4 hours at a time!
2 mo- she can do this military scoot thing on the tummy, sleep up to 6 hours, smile a lot, and do this little breathy laugh, she is also cooing,, and bable baby talk..(oh`s, oo`s, na`s). she can also follow somthing y watching or hearing it, and many more suprising things!

Leila-Kathleen`s birthstory

On wedsday Sept 10th I went to my 3:00pm 36 week check up. I had an ultrasound to check baby`s position and stuff. On the ultrasound it showed that Leila`s bladder was inlarged and backing into her kidneys. The Dr. then put me on a fetal heart monitor to ensure that she wasnt stressed. Then she did another ultrasound see if she emptied her bladder. Her bladder was STILL full. So she gave me an hour to go home and get my hubby, pack bags and head towards the hospital. Insted of going to the regional hospital I had to go to the special hospital with a Neonatal ICU.. 3 towns away! I was soooo worried about my baby. I get checked in, then they hooked me and Leila up to all of these monitors.. So by 5 pm they put some stuff in my IV to help get me dialated.. I was only at a .5!! I wasnt even a 1.. *sighs* That night was horrid... every hour they came in and checked my dialtion.... No sleep 4 me! Finally at 7 am I was at a 4cm.. so the Dr broke my water to get the show on the road. Then they gave me pictotion... to induce contractions... That wasnt soo bad.. most of the morning I would have a sporadic contraction here and there... Then about 1pm they started coming faster... then they were overlapping! So they gave me some Demerol. Then I was looooopy! My hubby says we had some weird convos... haha! Finally about 5pm I was dialted to a 5cm.. so I could get my epidural... now that was AWESOME! I didnt feel a thing! My legs were soo numb I couldnt move. Finally about 7pm the Dr said I was a 10 yay!! So, I got to start pushing... I had her out by 8:07pm... I was soo numb and giddy I felt like a parapalegic with parkinson`s disease (because I couldnt stop shaking).... She was 5`1 and 18 3/4 inches. Such a little babe. Luckily the labor squeezed her bladder and kidneys so there was no lasting damage. :) She was originally breathing fine with a little rapid breathing rate... by 2am she turned BLUE!!! I freaked! Apparently her breathing was a little premature when she went to sleep her rate lowered and she couldnt get enough oxygen!.. So after 10 days in NICU... and battling a little jaundice.. I finally got to bring her home! Now she has gained up to 7.5 pounds and is a tall 21 inches! Her Dr says she is doing JUST great :)
