katherine-danielle`s birthstory

well we have come a long way! at 26 weeks i went into preterm labor with my little girl and was put on bedrest until 37 weeks and daily medication to stop contractions. Mid-december they took me off the meds (terbuterline) and would you know it, katherine danielle ended up being overdue, and i was set to be induced on 1/28/09. i had my pre-admission testing on 1/26/08 and began having contractions after my internal (around 11:00AM) went home, kept active, did some shopping, the contractions were around 3-5 minutes apart and hurt so we to the hospital around midnight only to get sent home at around 5:00AM (1/27/08) i was kinda pissed bc they hurt and were showing up on the monitor every 4-7 minutes but i was only dialate to 2 cm. Well all day on 1/27 i was having strong contractions, did some more shopping, by 6:00PM (1/27) they were very intense, i waited about another hour to leave the house, we got to the hospital at around 8:00PM. my bf had me convinced they were just gonna send me home again and have me come back in the morning for my scheduled indcution. WRONG!!!! i was 5 1/2 centermeters dialated!!! they rushe me from the early labor room into a L&D room, i had my epi withing the next hour (around 9 PM) they checked me at 9:30 and i was 8 cm, at 11:30 i was 9cm and 12:30 AM (1/28) and i was 10cm and her head was right there. things got a little tense bc when they had me push her heartrate went down, there was meconium (sp?) and the cord was wrapped around her neck x1. They had me push her out hard and fast, withing the next 15 minutes katherine danielle was born at 12:44AM, 1/28/09!!!!!

Robert-Edward`s birthstory

I went in on Monday 5/24 at 7:30 AM to get induced. The gave me a pill vaginally to soften my cervix, started pitocin at 1:00, epidural at 5:00. checked me at 11:00 PM and I was 7 cm they told me another 2 more hours. 15 minutes later I puked everywhere and my water broke at the same time!! I was 10 cm and his head was right there, I pushed a couple times and he was born!!!
