I went to the hospital at 5:30am on the 29th to be induced because i was a week over due. They started with cytotic and to be honest the day was very uneventful. They continued to give me cytotic every 3 hours and have me walk every other hour for an hour at a time...by 9 pm after a failed induction they decided to let me go ahead and eat stay the night and they would try again in the morning.......They woke me up at 2:45am to put me on the monitor for 15mins to watch her heart rate before they gave me any more meds. Well lo and behold thats when they realized i was in labor, back labor..i was having contractions every 5 to 7 mins by 4 am they still weren`t very consistent so they started a patocine drip to regulate them.....let me tell you what back labor is horrible!!! especially since i have an old back injury....anyways i still wasn`t progressing much i was only a 1 and after 15 hours of hard back labor i was in tears and decided to take little Neubane for the pain, i felt like i had kinda failed because i was really trying to not take anything until i was at least a 5 but it was really painful, the patocine was causing serious contractions.....At first i really loved the Neubane, but about 3 mins after they gave it to me a bunch on nurses came rushing in and flipped me onto my left side, put an oxygen mask on me, one had my left leg in the air while another was fiddling around trying to prod her from the inside, while another was shacking my stomach from the outside, and another nurse was trying to find her heart rate with the monitor. I was offically freaking out!!! And to make it even worse i had just sent my mom home to eat and get her stuff ready for that night because i wasn`t progressing, so i was alone....After about 5 mins of prodding they did get her heart rate but it was really low..by then the doctors had shone up and decided to do a C-Section in 30mins Everything kinda blurs together for those 30mins...My mom, Dad and little brother all showed up, along with my best friend and her husband...i had nurses coming in to prep me for surgery...i was so scared! The last thing i remember is the anesthesiologist telling me he was going to sooth me with his soothing voice.....They put me all the way under so the rest of this story i heard of from my mom the next morning... I guess everything was going okay and they told mom to stand up to see them pull her out, and she said that when they did she was all blue and wasn`t crying she watched the clock and after about a min she sat back down realizing that this was not gonna be good. They did CPR on her for about 5 mins, she didn`t even have a pulse, they ended up giving her a shot of Narcam which is supposed to reverse the effects of the Neubane and she finally made a squeak ...Thats when they told my mom to go wait in the waiting room and then took my baby to the nursery and closed the curtains...mom said about 2 mins later they could hear her crying and screaming...That was the worse 10 mins of my life and i wasn`t even awake for it...They had to keep her on a monitor for first 12 hours so i didn`t even get to see my baby until 6 am the next morning...but she was fine then and has been every day since then
