Lucy-Ann-Vivian`s birthstory

OH BOY I was in prodromal labor for almost week, told my doc I couldn`t taje it anymore! She finally decided to induce! Went into the hospital jan 30th in the evening to start the induction! I was in labor all day on the 31st, around 4 pm the doc asked if i wanted to take a break from the pitocin and maybe head home and get some rest or did I want her to break my water! Of course not being able to stand it much longer I said BREAK THE WATER!! When she did the contractions came on so strong!!! I opted for the epidural after about the 3rd contraction! The doc came and did what he had to do, but the epidural did not take full effect! I had a window on my left side that wasn`t numb! I was going crazy, so he had to readjust the epi and have me lay on my left side! I Loved the epi as soon as it took full effect! the doc checked me around 6 pm and said I was 5cm after an hour I felt alot of pressure and asked the nurse what it could be, She said she would do a check to see, it was around 7:30 pm when they did the next check, I was 10 cm then! So within an hour I had gone from 5 to 10! I was shocked but so ready for this to be over!!! The doc cam in and started getting everything ready, around 8pm is when they started having me push! I pushed from 8 to 9:47pm before she was born! OMG, that hurt alot!!! I remember when the doc said to one of the nurses, turn up the pitocin to make the contrx stronger, I piped up and said, NO TURN UP THE EPIDURAL THE HECK WITH THE PITOCIN!!!! Then when her head came out, everyone started screaming, SHE`S HERE!! I said OMG I`m done she`s here, thank god, the doc said no that was just her head you still have the rest of her to go, I started crying and said What are you kidding me, that was only her head .....I can`t do this Nope I`m not doing it... then the doc said well you can`t leave her like this! That`s when I started to push with all my might because I wanted this over!!!! So Lucy was born at 9:47 pm and weighed 9lbs 5oz and was 22 in long! BIG GIRL!!!!! I am so blessed to have her here! My husband and I are very grateful that Lucy is big and healthy! All I have to say is Thank You God that it is over!
