Dylan`s birthstory

Arrived at the hospital at 5am for a planned c-section. Took the nurse a few minutes to find my information, I wasn`t on her list, she didn`t know a c-section was being done that day. The O.R. and the doctor new about the procedure, but lack of communicate at the hospital kept her from knowing. It was only a few minutes before it was straightened out. She took all kinds of information, took blood, put an IV in, got me ready for the c-section. They took me in the operating room (O.R) around 8am. I had a spinal put in to numb me from waste down, he ended up having to poke me twice, before finding the right spot, but I guess it could have been worse. With in minutes my legs felt really heavy and tingly. They got me all ready for the surgery and then allowed my husband to enter, he didn`t last to long, once the baby was out, he passed out. At 8:12am our baby boy arrived weighing in at 8 pounds even, 18 and 1/2 inches long. They took him to the nursery to get cleaned up and looked at by the doctor, everything looked good. In the meantime, they are finishing up with my surgery. It was around 8:45am when they were finished with me and wheeling me into the recovery room. I stayed in there for about an hour and a half, I got to hold my baby for a couple minutes while in the recovery room, then was moved to my room. As soon as I was put into my room the baby was put in there with me. My husband stayed with me until we were released, except to run and grab something to eat, which my mom was there to help while he was gone for a few minutes. We were released on Jan 17th in the evening (around 5pm). Things have been going pretty good and I hope they continue too.
