Justin-Manuel`s birthstory

Monday June 16 I had gone to the doctor to have the cervical gel inserted to help thin it out. I was still only 1 cm dialated, but the plan was for me to be induced on the 17th. They ended up inserting the gel twice. I was feeling crampy when I got home and took a nap. I woke up around 10pm to some major back pains and contractions. At this time they were between 10-20 mins apart. Around 11:30 they started to come on stronger and more frequent. By 12:30am they were like 5 mins apart and were getting so intense. I called my doctor who told me to head over to the hospital. I arrived at the hospital around 1:15 am and got hooked up to the monitors. I was 2 cm dialated and the contractions were very intense. I did ask for the epidural but was unable to receive it when I wanted it because Justin`s heart rate was elevated. I was put on oxygen and tried to relax as much as I could. Once I had calmed down I was able to get the epidural around 5 am. It worked like wonders for me. I felt so much better. Around 11am I started to feel so much pressure. They checked me out and I was 9.5 cm but I still have a little bit of cervix left to thin out. They gave me another dose epidural to take the pressure away and gave me pitocin to help the baby decend. By 2 pm I started to feel the pressure again. .Was checked out and finally made it to 10 cm!! I pushed for about 45 mins and out came Justin!!
