On april 19th around 5:15 am i started to have contractions that were really painful and really frequent right away. at first i chalked it up to gas pains, since the day before i had taken castor oil to try and help things along but nothin really happened. So i timed them and they were coming every 2-3 mon and i was shocked because they had just started. so i woke aaron and told him we needed to leave soo. we left within the hour and by the time i got to the hosp i was 6 cm!!!! i went from 0 to 6 in like an hour and 30 min, things were bearable they admitted me and i got fentinol(sp?) right away to help take the edge off the contractions, and then about an hour later the doc came with an epidural. it felt kinda wierd but sooooooooooooo worth it 13 hours of labor and after it did not feel a thing!!! i got the epi and i started progressing really slow so i was put on a pitocin drip for about 5 hours with no progress i thought for sure i would need a c-section. but in about a matter of ten minutes i felt alot of pressure and was 9 and a half cm and felt the uncontolable urge to push and with that i pushed for about 20 min and hannah was here!!!! i have no idea how i pushed her out so quick!!!!!!! labor was not that bad at all i am just sore which is expected of course
