Justin-Tyler`s birthstory

ok, so on Wed June 25th, at around 8 pm, i started to get kinda crampy, and by 10 pm, started to get contractions-mild contractions. so i went to sleep and woke back up at like 12:45am, getting stronger contractions. i tossed and turned until about 2:00 and decided to get up and walk around. the contractions were getting stronger, yet, were not in a consistant pattern. by 3:00 am, i had `show` and uncomfortable contractions. i woke my husband up and we heaeded to the hospital-total time to get to hospital with out traffic-20 minutes.
i went to the hosptial and got hooked up on the machines and checked. i was only 1 and 1/2 cm dialated, and the contractions were inconsistant, yet - still getting stonger. the nurse called my doc, who told her to tell me to go home and stay on my feet and i would probally be back that night to have the baby, or maybe even tommorrow. so my husband and i, both very disappointed, got in the car and started for home. while driving,my contractions started to get closer together, and stronger, but we still proceeded home. by the time i walked in the door, the contractions were comming every 3-4 minutes and were very painful. my son was already up and my dad was watching him, he was very excited to see me at 6:30 am. so i started to make coffee and attempt to stay on my feet. within 15 minutes of us being home, my contractions had me on the floor curled up in a ball, unable to talk, breathe, and they were comming every 2 minutes. so i called the hospital and they told me to come in. on the way in the car, i was in sooooo much pain, very much looking forward to the epidural!!!! halfway there, my water broke, and my body, without any control, began to push, push, push!!!! i could not stop pushing. we were stuck in traffic, and the ride took us nearly 30 minutes to get to the hospital and when we got there, i could not walk to the entrance. so my husband carried me, and i was almost in tears from the pain, my amniotic fluid was EVERYWHERE! i got in there were the nurses told me to lie on the table, which they had to help b/c i could not move from all the pain. my nurse, Brandy, told me i was 10 cm dialated, and the baby was crowning. WHAT????? i was only there like 1 and a half hours ago and they told me to go home. i kept thinking....who would send me home, why would they send me home? oh, and the best part was....i was way past the epidural stage. so i had to have my son all natural, no meds, NOTHING! i was soooooo scared but my husband was there for me, and we made it through it.
from the time i entered the hospital entrance and was placed on the bed, Justin Tyler was born 17 minutes later.....talk about fast. The nurses told us that if we had been stuck any longer in traffic.....i could have had him in the car. fun! there is a story to tell the kids!!!!
