On Friday I was getting contractions and thought maybe this was it, so i went to the hospital at 10 pm where they told me i was 3 cms and to walk around for 2 hours and come back at 1. So i did, i walked up and down the stair case for an hour of it and when i went back i hadnt changed. So i went home and the pain was strong to me at the time (i didnt know what kind of pain i was in for) When i got home i had a warm bath and tried to sleep but would wake up with every contraction so i had another bath a couple hours later. Then at noon on Saturday i went back to the hospital because the pain was even worse and closer together. When i got to the hospital i waited for 2 hours because they didnt think magic would happen overnight, but when i got checked i was EIGHT cms ! after i got settled in my room my doctor broke my water, and the pain was so intense i begged for an epidural. After i got my epidural my doctor came back and wanted to do some practice pushes and told me that i was ready to go so after only about 30 minutes my son was born. Im so proud of my boyfriend, he was so involved. I even went to the washroom while i was pushing (tmi) and he didnt even say anything about it, i had to ask him. We are both in love with him completely.
