Cailey`s birthstory

i went to my appointment on the 28th expecting the to just do a membrane sweep and ultrasound and send me on my way to wait until she wanted to come. when i got to appointment i expressed my concerns on her not moving as much so they sent me for a non stress test. well she was moving fine and they checked my cervix and i was still only 2-3 cm dialted and 50% effaced they did a good sweep and kept me hooked to monitors as my uterous looked unhappy so they gave me some water for dehydration. we were waiting to be discharged and to head back to the clinic for my ultrasound when the doctor in triage came back in and told us labor and delivery was having a slow day, i had a favorable cervix and asked if i wanted to be induced... i said hell yea lets go. so we waited around forever to get into my room and once in my room i was set up with IV fluids and stuff and then around 4 pm they started the pitocin i was okay for a long time on the pitocin and they just kept cranking it up and doing membrane sweeps on me as i wasnt opening very far. once the contactions got bad i had some iv drugs and got a little sleep my water began to break by itself at like 4 cm so they came in and broke the rest of it and i had sooooo much water they were quite suprised. they inserted a monitor to monitor how strong my contractions were and everytime i had one the baby pushed down and pushed it out. the pitocin was up to 20 when i asked for an epidural because i wasnt getting any break between contactions i had the worst contraction of the whole labor while getting the epidural in and covered the bed with fluid after i got the epidural i slept for a little while and they came and checked me and i was ready to push they said if i hadnt have gotton the epidural i wouldnt have dialted as quickly at the end. i pushed for about an hr which wasnt too bad since i had the epidural the nurses were making me mad i actually threw my oxygen mask at one of them haha but eventually she came out. i had a 2nd degree tear and they couldnt stop the bleeding they worked on my uterous for a long time gave me a bunch of drugs and it finally stopped. Cailey May Brillant was born at 9:16 am weighing 8lbs 15 oz and is the most beautiful baby girl i have ever seen. overall labor was great but long and very tiring. i think the worst part of the whole expierence is the recovery after birth...
