Trace-Connor`s birthstory
It started with a trip to the doctor for a regular appt. My blood pressure was 180/110 and he said your havin a baby today! Go to the hospital. I got to the hospital around 4:00pm and got all changed and checked in and they started the pitocin. I started feeling a little back ach but that was it. They said I was already 3cm when I got there and 50% effaced but baby was very high. Through out the night they could not keep a moniter to stay on the baby heartbeat and they have to do that since the pitocin. Not to mention by 2:00 am I still had not felt a contraction so the nurse called the doc and he said he would break my water if the baby had dropped, to start them but they checked me and I had not dialated anymore and he had not come down. They turned of the pitocin and told me to go to sleep and the doc would see me in the am. I was so worried that a c/section was gonna be in my future.....Well the doc comes in a 7am and checks me to see what we were gonna do and THANK GOD! he had dropped overnight so he broke my water and turned the pit back on. Two hours later I was def feeling something then with contarctions very close together and STRONG! Doc came back around 12 and the called for the epidural (which is great) and he checked me around 1pm and said I was almost 5cm. I asked what time we were looking at for delivery and he said if everything went perfect it would be 5-6 but more then likely 8-9pm He told me he was going to the office to see patients and that he would be in at 5 to check me again. At that point hubby said he was gonna run home shower and check on the kids and get a bite to eat. I figured IO had alot of time on my hands so I should sleep.woke up 2hrs later with alot of pain and pressure in "that area" nurse said it was normal and that she dosn't like to check a lot when the water is broke. By 3:30 I said I NEED to check. Sure enough I was fully dialated and croening. In a panic she was calling the doc office to tell him hurry and come and I was callin hubby to say the same. Iwas holding him in and lucky for me dad and doc arrived quick and 2 pushes later he was here. It realy was a easy birth and quick too:)
