Type of delivery: Vaginal (without pain relief)
Duration of labor: 10 hours of labor all together 30 minutes of hard labor and pushing.

I called my Dr. the day before I was to get induced and he said come in today Mon. Dec 17th anytime you want so I decided 1pm was a good time. My friend that was suppose to be there had the next day off but left work early that day. She showed up around 3pm, they had everything ready and started the pitocin. So, it was me Donnie and Annemarie and it was taking a while for the pitocin to really kick in so I called my friend Cydney to come up and she was there about 45 min later. There were now 4 of us counting myself. Well, 6pm rolled around and I called my other girlfriends Chrissy and Jamie and they were there too. So I had 5 people in the room. They allowed this because one of my B/F was friends with the nurse so she pulled some strings plus we were all behaving...lol

I was having slow contractions and just talking to my friends and laughing through them. It was about 8pm and after bouncing on the birthing ball and taking pic of my underwear that said hottie on it lmao...I still look at them and they crack me up. I started having harder contractions. I wanted medicine to relax me thinking the contractions would come easier because I was tensing up. So they bring in some kind of Opiate at 9:30, I couldn't keep my eyes open and I was having fun before they gave me the medicine so I was a little upset. My girlfriend Donnie coaxed me into going to sleep so around 10:00pm I passed out and they turned my pitocine down; which was suppose to get my labor going. Apparently your body can only absorb so much and mine was on the highest level so turning it down would make me go into natural labor with help of pitocin.

Anyway, while I was sleeping and after they turned it down a half hour later around 10:30pm I woke up moaning Donnie and Annemarie ran into the room and said the contractions were really hard and close. I started to really feel them as the medicine wore off and they grabbed my hand and helped me breath through them. It was so quick by 10:47 my water broke, we heard a pop and just looked at eachother and I felt a warm puddle under me. The pain kinda went away but then came back suddenly. I swear they were one after another and I could feel every bit of the pain. I wanted to cry, I was begging for the medicine I hated so much....lol. I told her I feel the baby's head and wanted to push so she put the medicine down and I knew it was over when she checked me and told me it was time I couldn't have the medicine so I couldn't help but push. So I pushed once. The Dr. was in the parking lot running to get to me..... lol The baby came so quick after only a half hour of hard labor?!?! Donnie was like, don't push because she will come out and the Dr. is on his way so I pushed a little (I had to) and felt some relief when the Dr. came in with his table and checked me he said OH MY GOSH HURRY PUSH!!! I gave it one big push and there she was my princess Mikayla Eve. The Dr. lay her down under my legs and cut and tied the umbilical cord or what ever they do clip it. The whole time I was reaching for her.

He handed her to me and I prayed over her as they cleaned her off, she didn't even cry. They let us spend an extra half hour all 6 of us plus my Dad came in right after she was born (that is how he wanted it lol) so there were 7 in the room, though it was very peaceful. We all looked at her and prayed over her I swear there were a thousand angels in the room. It was awsome. The pain had tottally left me and I was all smiles!!!! Mikayla Eve was born at 11:04 pm on Dec.17th, 2007 weighing 8 pounds and she was 20 inches long. She was in perfect health.
